Connect Philips Headphones to an Avantree Transmitter

Put both devices into pairing mode, then keep them close together while they connect.

Watching TV or video? Many Philips Bluetooth products do not support aptX Low Latency. You may notice a delay between the picture and sound.

Step 1 – Turn Off Nearby Bluetooth Devices

Turn off Bluetooth on nearby phones, tablets, computers, or other devices that have connected to your Philips headphones before. This helps prevent the headphones from reconnecting to another device during setup.

Step 2 – Put Your Philips Headphones in Pairing Mode

Select your Philips model below. If your model is not listed, check its user guide for Bluetooth pairing instructions.

Philips PH805

Make sure the headphones are turned off.
Press and hold the Power button for about 5 seconds.

Flashing RED and BLUE = Bluetooth pairing mode

Philips TAH5205

Make sure the headphones are turned off.
Press and hold the Power button for about 6 seconds.

Flashing BLUE and WHITE = Bluetooth pairing mode

Philips TAT5505 Earbuds

Put both earbuds in your ears.
Touch and hold both the left and right touch areas together for more than 5 seconds.
Release when you hear the “Pairing” voice prompt.

Philips Fidelio M2BT

Make sure the headphones are turned off.
Press and hold the Call/Music button until the indicator begins flashing.

Flashing BLUE and WHITE = Bluetooth pairing mode

Step 3 – Put the Avantree Transmitter in Pairing Mode

Put your Avantree transmitter or dongle into Bluetooth pairing mode. The button and indicator light can differ by model, so check its user guide if needed.

Step 4 – Wait for the Connection

Keep the Philips headphones and Avantree transmitter close together.
Make sure both devices are in pairing mode at the same time.
Wait a few seconds for the connection to complete.

When connected, the pairing lights should stop flashing. Your Philips headphones are ready to use.

Still Not Connecting?

Clear Pairing History and Try Again

Clear the pairing history on both the Philips headphones and Avantree transmitter, then repeat the pairing steps above.

Reset Philips PH805

Keep the headphones in pairing mode. Push and hold the Power button upward, then double-tap the touch control panel. The purple LED flashes three times when the reset is complete.

Reset Philips TAH5205

Keep the headphones in pairing mode. Push and hold the Power button upward for more than 6 seconds until the purple LED turns on.

Reset Philips TAT5505

Put both earbuds in the charging case. When both LEDs flash white, press and hold both function buttons for 4 seconds until the white LEDs flash twice.

Reset Philips Fidelio M2BT

Press and hold the Volume/Track control button and Call/Music button together until the LED flashes white five times.
