Can't Connect Your Headphones to the C81?
In most cases, pairing fails because the headphones are connected to another nearby Bluetooth device or one of the two devices is not in pairing mode.
Temporarily turn Bluetooth OFF on phones, tablets, computers, TVs, or other devices that your headphones or earbuds have previously connected to.
Put Your Headphones in Pairing Mode
Put your headphones or earbuds into Bluetooth pairing mode so the C81 can find them.
Put the C81 in Pairing Mode
Plug in the C81. Press and hold the button for about 2 seconds until the indicator flashes blue and white.
FLASHING BLUE + WHITE
The C81 is in Bluetooth pairing mode and searching for your headphones.
Keep Them Close and Wait for Connection
Keep the headphones close to the C81 and wait a few seconds while they connect.
SOLID BLUE
The C81 is connected using aptX Adaptive or aptX Low Latency.
FLASHING BLUE
The C81 is connected using aptX HD, aptX, or SBC.
Still Not Connecting?
Choose the situation that matches what you are seeing.
My headphones keep connecting to my phone or another device
Turn Bluetooth OFF on the phone, tablet, computer, TV, or other device your headphones normally connect to.
Then put the headphones back into Bluetooth pairing mode and try again.
My headphone light is not flashing
The headphones may only be powered on and not in Bluetooth pairing mode.
Put the headphones into pairing mode again. The exact pairing method depends on the headphone or earbud model.

The C81 may not be searching for your headphones.
Press and hold the C81 button for about 2 seconds until the indicator flashes blue and white.
FLASHING BLUE + WHITE
This means the C81 is ready to pair.
Both devices are in pairing mode but they still won't connect
Move the headphones closer to the C81.
Make sure Bluetooth is turned OFF on nearby devices that have previously connected to your headphones.
Then put both the headphones and the C81 into pairing mode again.
Still Not Working?
If both devices are in pairing mode but still cannot connect, you may need to clear the old Bluetooth pairing history and try again.
Reset the C81 and Try Again
Resetting the C81 clears its previous Bluetooth pairing history.
You may also need to clear the Bluetooth pairing history on your headphones or earbuds. The reset method depends on the headphone model.
After resetting, turn Bluetooth OFF on nearby devices and pair the C81 and headphones again.
