Use the controller mic or a USB mic for voice chat
When using the C81-G on PS5, your Bluetooth headphones receive game audio, but the Bluetooth headset microphone is not supported. Choose one of the microphone options below.
Voice Chat → Controller Mic or USB Mic
Choose your microphone
On your PS5, go to Settings > Sound, then use one of these setups.
PS5 Controller Microphone
Use the microphone built into your PS5 controller.
USB Microphone
Connect a separate USB microphone directly to your PS5.
PS5 Sound Settings
For the controller microphone setup, your PS5 settings should look like this:
Go to Settings > Sound > Microphone Level. Make sure the microphone is not muted, then increase the level as needed.
Mic still not working?
- Confirm the correct Input Device is selected.
- Make sure the controller or USB microphone is not muted.
- If using a USB microphone, try another USB port on the PS5.
- Restart the PS5 and reconnect everything.
C81-G uses Classic Bluetooth, so the Bluetooth headset microphone is not supported on PS5. LE Audio products can support audio and voice together when both the transmitter and headphones support LE Audio.
