No sound from your C81 may be caused by headphones that are not connected, an incorrect USB audio output setting, or the wrong audio mode or volume. Follow the 3 steps below to restore audio.
Check the C81 LED Light
Look at the light on your C81 adapter. Find the light pattern that matches what you see.
Flashing Blue & White — Not Connected
Your headphones are not connected to C81.
- Turn Bluetooth OFF on nearby phones, tablets, or computers that your headphones were previously connected to.
- Put your headphones into pairing mode.
- If C81 is not flashing blue and white, press and hold its multifunction button for about 2 seconds to enter pairing mode.
- Keep your headphones close to C81 until the light changes to solid blue or flashing blue.
Solid Blue or Flashing Blue — Connected
Your headphones are connected to C81.
What to do: Play some music or a video. If you still cannot hear sound, continue to Step 2.
Solid White — Talk/Call Mode
C81 is using its microphone or call audio mode.
What to do: Double-press C81's multifunction button to switch audio modes, then test the sound.

- Under Output Device, select your C81 USB headset or adapter.

- Under Output, select the C81 USB audio device.
- Play music or a video to check the sound.
Using C81 with Mac
- Open System Settings → Sound.

Check the Volume
If C81 is connected and selected as your audio output, check the volume settings.
- Increase the volume on your Bluetooth headphones or earbuds.
- Increase the volume on your PS5, computer, or other device. Make sure the sound is not muted.
- Play a video or music again to test.
Still No Sound? Try These Final Checks
- Reconnect C81: Unplug C81, then plug it back in.
- Restart your headphones: Turn them off, then back on. Wait for C81 to reconnect.
- Try another USB audio port: Connect C81 directly to a different compatible USB audio port on your device. Do not use a USB hub.
