How to Connect Sennheiser Headphones or Speakers to an Avantree Bluetooth Transmitter

Follow these steps if your Sennheiser device will not connect to your Avantree transmitter.

Before You Start

Turn Bluetooth OFF on nearby phones, tablets, computers, or TVs that were previously connected to your Sennheiser device.
Keep the Sennheiser device and Avantree transmitter close together while pairing.

Step 1 – Put Your Sennheiser Device in Pairing Mode

Simply turning your Sennheiser device ON is not enough. Select your model below and put it into Bluetooth pairing mode.

Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC / HD 4.40

Start with the headphones OFF.
Press and hold the Power button for about 4 seconds.

RED and BLUE flashing = Pairing mode

Sennheiser PXC 550 Wireless

Press and hold the Effect Mode Control button for about 4 seconds.
Release when you hear “Pairing.”

Sennheiser HD1 / M2 AEBT

Start with the headphones OFF.
Press and hold the Power button until you hear “Pairing.”

RED and BLUE flashing = Pairing mode

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless

Put both earbuds in your ears.
Touch and hold the left and right touch controls together for about 5 seconds.
Release when you hear “Pairing” and a beep.

Using a different Sennheiser model? Check your Sennheiser user manual for how to enter Bluetooth pairing mode.

Step 2 – Put the Avantree Transmitter in Pairing Mode

Put your Avantree transmitter into Bluetooth pairing mode. The pairing button and LED indicator vary by Avantree model, so check your transmitter's pairing guide if needed.

Step 3 – Wait for Them to Connect

Make sure both devices are in pairing mode at the same time.
Keep them close together.
Wait a few seconds. The flashing pairing indicators should change or stop flashing once connected.

Something Doesn’t Look Right?

Sennheiser Keeps Connecting to My Phone or Computer

Turn Bluetooth OFF on the phone, tablet, computer, or TV it keeps connecting to. Then put the Sennheiser device and Avantree transmitter into pairing mode again.

Sennheiser Is ON but Won’t Connect

Being powered ON does not always mean it is ready to pair. Put the Sennheiser device into actual Bluetooth pairing mode and check for the correct LED or voice prompt shown above.
