HT3831 – How to Adjust the Left / Right Sound Balance
Use the L / R Balance dial if one ear needs more volume than the other.
Use the Correct Control
Volume wheel: Makes both sides louder or quieter.
L / R Balance dial: Adjusts the sound between your left and right ears.
LEFT Side Needs More Volume?
Slowly turn the L / R Balance dial toward L. This makes the left side stronger. Adjust it a little at a time.
RIGHT Side Needs More Volume?
Slowly turn the L / R Balance dial toward R. This makes the right side stronger. Adjust it a little at a time.
Want Both Sides About the Same?
Move the L / R Balance dial toward the middle, then listen again. Adjust it slightly until both sides sound comfortable.
Something Doesn’t Sound Right?
One Side Is Much Quieter
The balance dial may be turned too far toward one side. Move it toward the middle and test again.
Both Sides Are Too Quiet
Use the separate Volume wheel. Do not use the balance dial to raise the overall volume.
Turn toward + for louder sound.
Turn toward − for quieter sound.
One Side Still Sounds Too Quiet
- Move the balance dial toward the middle.
- Make sure both earbuds are sitting correctly in your ears.
- Play another TV program or video.
- Test both sides again, then slowly adjust toward the side that needs more sound.
