How Do I Add More Earbuds to the HT3831?

The HT3831 transmitter can connect to up to 100 pairs of compatible earbuds. Follow the same steps below for each additional pair you want to add.

Before You Start

Turn OFF your TV while adding the new earbuds.
Turn Bluetooth OFF on nearby phones, tablets, laptops, TVs, and other Bluetooth devices to help avoid interference.
Keep the new earbuds close to the transmitter/base while pairing.

Step 1 – Put the HT3831 Into Pairing Mode

On the HT3831 transmitter, press and hold the MODE button for about 2 seconds.

Rapidly Flashing Green on TRANSMIT = Ready to pair

Step 2 – Put the New Earbuds Into Pairing Mode

On the new earbuds, press and hold the AMBIENT button for about 5 seconds.

Rapidly Flashing Green = Ready to pair

Important: Press and hold AMBIENT for the full 5 seconds. A quick press only turns Ambient Mode on or off.

Step 3 – Keep Them Close and Wait

Keep the new earbuds close to the transmitter/base. Do not press any more buttons. Wait a few seconds for them to connect.

Solid Green = Connected

Step 4 – Test the New Earbuds

Turn your TV back ON.
Play something on your TV.
Put on the new earbuds.
Check that you can hear the TV sound.

Want to Add Another Pair?

Repeat Steps 1–4 for each additional pair of earbuds you want to connect.

New Earbuds Won't Connect?

Make sure your TV is OFF while pairing.
Turn Bluetooth OFF on nearby phones, tablets, laptops, TVs, and other Bluetooth devices.
Check that TRANSMIT is rapidly flashing green. If not, hold MODE for 2 seconds again.
Check that the new earbuds are rapidly flashing green. If not, hold AMBIENT for the full 5 seconds again.
Move the earbuds closer to the transmitter/base.
Do not press any more buttons. Wait a few seconds for them to connect.

Solid Green = Connected
