Bluetooth headset mics don’t work on PS5 with C81-G—use the controller mic or a USB mic instead.
Quick Check - What to Use Instead :
Option 1️⃣ (Best & easiest):
Use the PS5 controller’s built-in mic
● On your PlayStation 5 → go to settings and click Sound
● Set Output Device → C81-G
● Set Input Device → Controller Microphone
Option 2️⃣ (Alternative):
Use a USB microphone plugged into the PS5
● You can use a separate USB microphone connected directly to the PS5.
● Set Output Device → C81-G
● Set Input Device → USB microphone
Most Common Issue
● PS5 does not support microphone input from Bluetooth headsets, so only audio works through C81-G.
Tip
If your voice is low, unmute and increase mic level in Settings → Sound → Microphone Level.
Still Not Working?
● Restart your PS5 and reconnect everything
● Try a different USB port (for USB mic users)
● Test mic in another app/game to confirm it’s working
● If it still fails, your mic hardware (controller or USB mic) may need checking or replacement.

Does the microphone on my Bluetooth headset work with C81-G?
No. This is a PS5 system limitation, not an issue with the C81-G.
When using the C81-G on PS5:
Game audio works normally in high-quality stereo
Bluetooth headset microphones are not supported
How can I chat with teammates while using C81-G?
✅ Recommended (Best Quality & Stability)
Use the PS5 controller’s built-in microphone

This is the officially supported and most reliable solution.
I don’t want to use the controller mic. Is there another option?
Yes. You can use a separate USB microphone connected directly to the PS5.

Output Device → C81-G

🎧 Stereo game audio via C81-G
-
🎤 Voice chat via external USB mic
