Headphones don’t connect to Relay because they are still connected to another device or are not in pairing mode.
Quick Check (Using AirPods as an Example)
1️⃣ Turn OFF Bluetooth on nearby devices
AirPods may automatically reconnect to your phone, tablet, or laptop.
2️⃣ Put the AirPods in pairing mode
Place them in the case → open the lid → press and hold the button on the back until the light flashes white.
If you don’t see the white flashing light, close the case, reopen it, and try again.

3️⃣ Put Relay in pairing mode
Press and hold the main button until the light flashes red and blue.
4️⃣ Keep the devices close together
Wait a few seconds for them to connect.
➡️ If it still doesn’t connect:
Put the AirPods back in the case, close the lid for a few seconds, reopen it, and repeat the pairing steps.
Why This Happens
AirPods are designed to automatically reconnect to nearby Apple devices, which can prevent them from pairing with Relay.
💡 Tip:
Temporarily turning Bluetooth OFF on your iPhone or iPad during setup can make pairing much faster.
Still not working?
Try these steps:
● Restart the Relay transmitter.
● Reset the headphones and try pairing again.
● Move away from other Bluetooth devices that may reconnect to the AirPods.
