Harmony 2 - Fix Speakers Not Connecting

Before You Start: If one or more speakers won't connect, disconnect unexpectedly, or stop playing together, the cause may be an incorrect speaker mode or an unstable wireless connection.

Important: Speakers must be in Broadcasting Mode to connect to the Harmony 2 transmitter.

Step 1 – Check Speaker Distance & Wireless Interference

1. Move the transmitter at least 3 feet (1 meter) away from Wi-Fi routers, TV boxes, and other wireless devices.
2. Keep the transmitter away from metal objects, cabinets, and other obstacles.
3. Move the affected speakers closer and test playback again.

Step 2 – Restart & Check the Speaker Mode

1. Turn OFF the transmitter and affected speakers.
2. Wait 10 seconds, then turn them back ON. Check that each speaker’s light flashes white.
3. If a speaker’s light does not flash white, double-press its M button to switch to Broadcasting Mode. Listen for “Broadcasting mode.”

Step 3 – Reconnect the Affected Speakers

1. Keep the affected speakers within 3 feet (1 meter) of the transmitter.
2. On the transmitter, press and hold ADD DEVICES for 2 seconds until its light flashes white.
3. Make sure the affected speaker is in Broadcasting Mode with a flashing white light.
4. Wait for the speaker light to turn solid white.

Step 4 – Still Not Connecting? Reset the Affected Speaker

If the speaker still won't connect, its saved pairing information may need to be cleared. Follow the Harmony 2 Factory Reset Guide, then repeat Step 3 to reconnect it.

If the speakers still won't connect or play together, contact Avantree Support. Please tell us whether one speaker or all speakers are affected, what the speaker light is doing, and whether the speaker connects but disconnects later.
