Start With the Speaker Position and Volume
These are the most common reasons the Slumber 2 sounds too quiet. Follow the steps below in order.
Only Bluetooth audio is quiet: Check your phone or device volume and sound settings.
Bluetooth and built-in sleep sounds are both quiet: Start with the Slumber 2 volume and speaker position.
Before You Start
|
1
Check the Position
Keep the speaker close to where your ear rests. |
2
Turn Up Both
Raise the Slumber 2 volume and your phone volume. |
3
Test Again
Play audio while lying in your normal sleeping position. |
Step 1 – Check the Speaker Position
The speaker position can make a big difference in volume.
- Place Slumber 2 inside your pillowcase.
- Keep the speaker on top of the pillow, not underneath it.
- Move the speaker close to where your ear rests.
- Play some audio and test the volume.
Still too quiet? Move the speaker a little closer to your ear and test again.
The video shows how to position the speaker close to your ear for better volume.
Step 2 – Turn Up Both Volume Controls
Slumber 2 and your phone or device have separate volume controls.
|
Slumber 2
Turn the volume scroll wheel on the remote up. |
Phone or Device
Turn up the media volume. |
Important: Both volume controls may need to be turned up.
Only Bluetooth is still quiet? Check your phone for Volume Limit, Reduce Loud Sounds, Hearing Protection, or Media Volume. You can also try another song, video, or app.
Step 3 – Voices Hard to Hear? Try Voice Clear
If the volume is okay but voices are hard to understand, try Voice Clear.
Slumber 2 has two remote versions. Use the guide below to find the correct button.

- Disconnect Slumber 2 from your current device.
- Connect it to another phone, tablet, or computer.
- Turn up the volume on both devices.
- Play some audio.
Louder now? The original phone or device is likely causing the low volume. Check its sound settings.
