Harmony 2 – How to Factory Reset / Clear Pairing History

Reset your Harmony 2 speaker if it will not connect correctly or you need to clear its saved pairing information.

Important: A reset clears the speaker's saved pairing information. You will need to reconnect the speaker afterward.

When Should I Reset the Speaker?

Reset the speaker if it will not connect or reconnect, keeps connecting to the wrong Bluetooth device, has an old Bluetooth connection you want to clear, or still has pairing problems after restarting.

Step 1 – Turn On the Speaker

Turn ON the Harmony 2 speaker you want to reset.

Have multiple speakers? Reset only the speaker having the problem unless you want to clear the pairing history on all of them.

Step 2 – Switch to Bluetooth Mode

The speaker must be in Bluetooth mode before resetting.

If needed, double-press the M button to switch to Bluetooth mode.

Flashing RED & BLUE = Bluetooth mode / ready to reset

Important: Make sure the LED is flashing RED & BLUE before continuing.

Step 3 – Reset the Speaker

Press and hold the + and − buttons together for at least 5 seconds.

Keep holding until the LED briefly turns:

PINK = Pairing history cleared

The LED will then flash RED & BLUE = Reset successful.

Reset complete. The speaker is now in Bluetooth pairing mode. Reconnect it using Step 4.

Step 4 – Reconnect the Speaker

Using the Harmony 2 Transmitter?

Switch the speaker back to Broadcasting mode.

Double-press the M button.
Listen for “Broadcasting mode.”
Wait for the speaker to reconnect.

Flashing WHITE = Ready to connect

SOLID WHITE = Connected to the transmitter

Connecting the Speaker Directly to a Phone?

Leave the speaker in Bluetooth mode.

Open Settings → Bluetooth on your phone.
Select Harmony 2.
Wait for the speaker to connect.

SOLID BLUE = Bluetooth connected
