Harmony – How to Adjust the Volume
You can adjust the volume from the Harmony speakers, transmitter, or TV/audio source, depending on how your system is connected.
Where Should I Adjust the Volume?
AUX / RCA: Try the TV remote first, then adjust the Harmony transmitter and individual speakers.
Optical: Use the Harmony transmitter and speaker volume controls. The TV remote normally will not change the Harmony volume.
Step 1 – Adjust Each Harmony Speaker
Each Harmony speaker has its own volume control. Gradually tap the + / − buttons to adjust the volume to a comfortable level.
Step 2 – Adjust the Transmitter Volume
Increase the volume using the Harmony transmitter volume control, then fine-tune the listening volume on each speaker.
Step 3 – Check How Your TV Is Connected
Using AUX or RCA?
If connected through AUX or RCA, try adjusting the volume with your TV remote. If your TV has variable audio output, the Harmony volume will change with it.
Using Optical / SPDIF / TOSLINK?
Your TV remote will normally not change the Harmony volume when using Optical. This is normal.
Adjust the volume using the Harmony transmitter and the + / − buttons on the Harmony speakers.
Something Doesn't Look Right?
Only One Speaker Is Too Quiet?
If your other Harmony speakers sound normal, gradually tap + on the quiet speaker. Each Harmony speaker has its own volume control.
All Speakers Are Too Quiet?
- Turn up the Harmony transmitter.
- Switch from NORMAL to BOOST.
- Turn up each Harmony speaker.
- If using AUX or RCA, turn up the TV/audio source.
