Follow these steps to remove conflicting Bluetooth drivers, restart the Bluetooth service, and enable Advanced device discovery.
Complete each step in order.
Clear Hidden Bluetooth Drivers
Old Bluetooth driver entries may interfere with DG45. Follow the instructions below to check for conflicting drivers.
- Unplug DG45 from your computer's USB port.
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- At the top of Device Manager, click View, then select Show hidden devices.
- If the Bluetooth category is still visible, expand it to check for old or conflicting Bluetooth driver entries.
- Right-click each Bluetooth driver or profile that needs to be removed and select Uninstall device.
The original troubleshooting procedure calls for removing Bluetooth listings while DG45 is unplugged. Uninstalling drivers may disconnect Bluetooth keyboards, mice, and other devices. Make sure you can control your PC without Bluetooth.
Only remove entries you can identify as part of the Bluetooth driver cleanup. If you are unsure, contact support before uninstalling them.
- Restart your computer after completing the driver cleanup.
- Open Device Manager again and select View → Show hidden devices to check that the unwanted entries have been cleared.
- Reconnect DG45 to your computer.
Windows should attempt to recognize DG45 again after the conflicting drivers have been removed.
Restart the Bluetooth Support Service
Restart the Windows Bluetooth Support Service to refresh Bluetooth functionality.
- Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.
- Type services.msc and press Enter.
- In the Services window, find Bluetooth Support Service.
- Right-click Bluetooth Support Service and select Restart.
Restarting the service refreshes Windows Bluetooth functionality and may resolve a temporary pairing issue.
Enable Advanced Bluetooth Discovery
Windows 11 includes a Bluetooth discovery setting that controls which devices appear when searching.
Change the setting from Default to Advanced.
- Press Windows + I to open Windows Settings.
- Select Bluetooth & devices from the left menu.
- Click Devices on the right.
- Scroll to Device settings.
- Find Bluetooth devices discovery.
- Open the dropdown menu and select Advanced.
Advanced discovery allows Windows to display a broader range of nearby Bluetooth devices during pairing.
Try Pairing Your Bluetooth Device Again
After completing the troubleshooting steps, try connecting your Bluetooth headphones, speaker, or other device again.
- Make sure DG45 is connected to your computer.
- Turn on your Bluetooth device and put it into pairing mode according to its instructions.
- Open Windows Settings → Bluetooth & devices.
- Click Add device, select Bluetooth, and choose your device when it appears.
Pairing Successful?
If your device connects successfully, DG45 is ready to use.
If your Bluetooth device still does not appear or fails to connect, contact Avantree Support with your Windows 11 version, device model, and a description of the pairing problem.
