XIAOMI MI BOX No Sound

Xiaomi Mi Box – No Sound Through Avantree Headphones or Speakers

If you get no sound when watching Xiaomi Mi Box, change these two audio settings.

Step 1 – Set the Audio Format to PCM

Using your Xiaomi Mi Box remote:

1. Press the MENU button, then select the Gear icon.
2. Select Device Preferences.
3. Select Sound.
4. Select Digital Audio Format.
5. Choose PCM.

Step 2 – Turn Off Dolby Sounds

Go back to Sound, select Dolby Sounds, then set it to OFF.

Step 3 – Check Your TV Audio Setting

If there is still no sound and your Avantree transmitter is connected to the TV using Optical, open the audio settings on your actual TV and set its Digital Audio Format to PCM.

Test the Sound

Play a Xiaomi Mi Box video after changing both settings. Your Avantree headphones or speakers should now receive sound.
