Apple TV – No Sound Through Avantree Headphones or Speakers

Set Apple TV to Stereo, then check your TV's PCM setting if you use an Optical connection.

Step 1 – Open Apple TV Audio Settings

Using your Apple TV remote, go to:

Settings → Video and Audio → Audio Format

Step 2 – Change the Format to Stereo

1. Select Change Format.
2. Choose Change Format again if Apple TV asks you to confirm.
3. Select New Format.
4. Choose Stereo.

Step 3 – Check Your TV PCM Setting

If there is still no sound and your Avantree transmitter is connected to the TV using Optical, open the audio settings on your actual TV and set its Digital Audio Format to PCM.

Test the sound again.

Play an Apple TV video after changing the settings.
