NVIDIA SHIELD TV No Sound

NVIDIA SHIELD TV – No Sound Through Avantree Headphones or Speakers

Turn off surround sound on your NVIDIA SHIELD TV, then check your TV's PCM setting if you use an Optical connection.

Step 1 – Open the Sound Settings

Using your NVIDIA SHIELD TV remote, go to:

Menu → Device Preferences → Display & Sound → Advanced Sound Settings

Step 2 – Turn Off Surround Sound

1. Select Available Formats.
2. Choose None: Never Use Surround Sound.

Step 3 – Check Your TV PCM Setting

If there is still no sound and your Avantree transmitter is connected to the TV using Optical, open the audio settings on your actual TV and set its Digital Audio Format to PCM.

Test the sound again.

Play a video on NVIDIA SHIELD TV after changing the settings.
