DG45 — Disable Your Computer's Built-in Bluetooth Driver
If your Bluetooth devices cannot connect to DG45,
your computer's built-in Bluetooth adapter may
be interfering with the USB Bluetooth adapter.
Follow this guide to temporarily disable
your computer's built-in Bluetooth driver.

This procedure disables your computer's
built-in Bluetooth adapter,
not the DG45 USB adapter.
It may temporarily disconnect Bluetooth mice,
keyboards, headphones, or other devices
connected through the built-in adapter.
Make sure you have a working wired keyboard or mouse if needed.

Before You Start — Check These First
- Make sure your Bluetooth headphones or device are in pairing mode.
- Disconnect the Bluetooth device from any previously connected phone, tablet, or computer.
- Confirm that your Bluetooth device is selected correctly in Windows when applicable.
- If the problem continues, proceed with the steps below.
How to Disable the Built-in Bluetooth Driver

Unplug DG45 from Your Computer
If DG45 or another Bluetooth USB adapter is plugged into your computer, unplug it before continuing.
Why Unplug DG45?
This makes it easier to identify your
computer's built-in Bluetooth adapter
in Device Manager, so you do not
accidentally disable DG45.

Turn Off Your Computer's Bluetooth
Open your computer's Bluetooth settings.
Windows Settings → Bluetooth & devices
Locate the Bluetooth switch and turn it Off.

Open Device Manager
On your keyboard, press:
Windows Key + X → Device Manager
Alternatively, open Windows Search, type Device Manager, and select it from the results.

Find Your Computer's Built-in Bluetooth Adapter
- In Device Manager, locate Bluetooth.
- Click the arrow next to Bluetooth to expand the category.
- Find your computer's built-in Bluetooth adapter.
How to Identify the Correct Adapter
The built-in Bluetooth adapter may have
a manufacturer name such as
Intel, Realtek, or another hardware brand.
The exact name varies by computer.
Do not disable unrelated Bluetooth entries or devices if you are unsure which one is the built-in adapter.

Disable the Built-in Bluetooth Adapter
- Right-click your computer's built-in Bluetooth adapter.
- Select Disable device.
- If Windows asks for confirmation, confirm the action.
Select "Disable device"
Do not select Uninstall device.
Disabling the adapter is sufficient
for this troubleshooting procedure
and is easier to reverse.

Restart Your Computer
After disabling the built-in Bluetooth adapter, restart your computer.
Wait for Windows to finish restarting before continuing.

Reconnect DG45 and Turn Bluetooth Back On
- Plug DG45 back into your computer's USB port.
- Allow Windows to recognize the adapter.
- Open Windows Bluetooth settings.
- Turn Bluetooth On if the switch is available.
- Try connecting your Bluetooth device again.

after reconnecting DG45, Windows may not
be recognizing the USB adapter correctly.

- Expand the Bluetooth category.
- Right-click the built-in Bluetooth adapter that you previously disabled.
- Select Enable device.
- Restart your computer if needed, then turn Bluetooth back on in Windows Settings.
