NB16-Q – How to Factory Reset / Clear Pairing History

A reset clears the NB16-Q’s saved Bluetooth connections.

When Should I Reset?

Reset the NB16-Q if it:

Keeps connecting to the wrong Bluetooth device
Will not pair with a new device
Has connection problems after being used with another device

Step 1 – Turn On the NB16-Q

Turn the NB16-Q ON and wait until it is fully powered on.

Step 2 – Reset the Headphones

Press and hold ＋ and − together.
Keep holding both buttons for about 7 seconds.
Release them after the LED sequence below.

Solid PINK for about 5 seconds

Solid RED for about 2 seconds

The saved Bluetooth pairing history is now cleared.

Step 3 – Connect Again

Connect to a Phone, Tablet, or Computer

Start with the NB16-Q OFF.
Press and hold the MFB middle button for 5 seconds.
Keep holding when the headphones first turn on. Release when you hear “Pairing.”

Flashing RED & BLUE = Ready to pair

Open your device’s Bluetooth settings and select NB16-Q.

Solid BLUE + “Connected” = Connected

Use with an Avantree TV Transmitter

The transmitter may also need to be reset because resetting only the NB16-Q does not clear the transmitter’s pairing history. If they still do not reconnect, follow the reset and Pair, Connect & Lock instructions for your specific transmitter model.

Something Doesn’t Look Right?

LED Does Not Turn Pink

Make sure the NB16-Q is ON. Press and hold ＋ and − together for the full 7 seconds.

PINK for about 5 seconds

RED for about 2 seconds

NB16-Q Still Connects to a Phone

Turn Bluetooth OFF on nearby phones, tablets, and computers. Then put the NB16-Q into pairing mode again.

Flashing RED & BLUE + “Pairing”
