Orbit (TC580): How to Reconnect Bluetooth Headphones / Speakers

Are your Bluetooth headphones or speakers not reconnecting to your Avantree Orbit?

Follow these simple steps to restore the Bluetooth connection.

You Do Not Need to Pair Your Headphones Every Time

Once paired successfully, your Bluetooth headphones or speakers should automatically reconnect when both Orbit and the headphones are powered on.

Previously paired devices should reconnect automatically.

Not Reconnecting Automatically? Try This

Turn Off Bluetooth on Previously Connected Devices

Temporarily turn Bluetooth OFF on any phones, tablets, computers, or other devices previously paired with your headphones or speakers.

Why? Your headphones may be automatically connecting to another device instead of Orbit.

Keep Orbit and your headphones powered on and allow a short time for reconnection.

Select Your Headphones / Speakers on Orbit

If automatic reconnection does not occur, look at the device list on Orbit's screen.

Use Orbit's navigation buttons to highlight the name of your previously paired headphones or speakers.

Previously Paired Devices > Your Headphones Highlight the device you want to reconnect.

Tip: If your headphone name does not appear, it may no longer be saved in Orbit's pairing history. You may need to pair it again.

Press the Connect Button Once

With your headphone or speaker name selected, press Orbit's Connect button once.

This tells Orbit to reconnect to the selected Bluetooth device.

PRESS ONCE TO CONNECT

Connection Restored

Wait for Orbit to establish the connection. Once connected, your headphones or speakers should receive audio from Orbit again.

Still Having Connection Problems?

Sony Headphones Are Not Reconnecting

If you are using Sony Bluetooth headphones and they still do not reconnect after following the steps above, check for a firmware update.

Use Sony's official headphone companion app to check whether a newer firmware version is available for your model.

After updating, turn the headphones and Orbit on again and retry the connection.

Note: This recommendation applies specifically to Sony headphones that continue to have automatic reconnection issues.

My Headphones Do Not Appear on Orbit's Screen

If your headphones are not listed among Orbit's previously paired devices, you may need to pair them again.

Put your headphones into Bluetooth pairing mode, press Orbit's Search button, and select the headphone name when it appears.

My Headphones Keep Connecting to My Phone Instead

Turn off Bluetooth on your phone or disconnect the headphones from it.

Then keep your headphones powered on and select their name on Orbit's screen.

Press the Connect button once to reconnect manually.

Reconnection Still Does Not Work

First, try restarting both Orbit and your headphones or speakers.

If the connection still fails, you can clear Orbit's Bluetooth pairing history and set up the connection again.

Important: Clearing the pairing history removes previously saved Bluetooth connections. You will need to pair your devices again.
