Avantree LE Audio transmitters work with both Sony WH-1000XM5 and WH-1000XM6 for Auracast and LE Audio connections, but the XM5 may require a firmware update to enable full LE Audio support.

Check your headphones' model
Ensure firmware is up to date (especially WH-1000XM5)
Use a compatible Avantree LE Audio transmitter
Auracast broadcasting: Both models work with Avantree
C82 Aura,
Audikast 4,
DG60 Aura, and
Voyager series transmitters.
LE Audio unicast (point-to-point): They work with the Avantree
C82 LEA transmitter.
Most Common Issues
No LE Audio connection → Headphones not updated to the latest firmware
Audio only in standard Bluetooth mode → Transmitter not set to LE Audio mode
XM5 not working properly → Older firmware or missing LE Audio activation
Connection instability → Distance or interference between devices
Tip: If your WH-1000XM5 doesn’t connect in LE Audio, update firmware first, then re-pair it with the Avantree transmitter to unlock Auracast/LE Audio features.
Still not working?
Restart both the transmitter and the headphones
Re-enter pairing mode on both devices
Update headphone firmware again if needed
