DFU – Keep Speaker On, Multi-Channel, and Hearing-Aid Support

A Device Firmware Update (DFU) unlocks advanced features for Harmony A1.

By default, the speaker turns off after 60 minutes without audio.

After updating the firmware, the speaker can remain powered on continuously while connected to external power, even when no audio is playing.

2. Multiple Systems in the Same Space

DFU can allow multiple Auracast channels in the same environment.

Each speaker group can join a different channel, allowing separate systems to run at the same time.

For example, System A speakers can play audio from Source A while System B speakers play audio from Source B, without audio mixing or cross-talk.

This feature will be available in an upcoming DFU update.

3. Hearing-Aid Support Settings

DFU can enable a hearing-aid mode, allowing the Harmony A1 transmitter to support compatible Auracast hearing aids.

After the update, the system can be configured for use with compatible hearing aids.

This feature will be available in a future DFU update.
