Harmony A1 – Solid Red EQ LED and Poor Sound

A solid red EQ LED can change the sound. Follow these steps to return the speaker to normal listening mode.

This guide applies to: Harmony A1 Solo speakers from batch T25J2.

Where to Find the Batch Number / LOT Number

Step 1 – Check the EQ LED

Look at the EQ LED on your speaker.

If the EQ LED is solid RED , continue to Step 2.

Step 2 – Short-Press the EQ Button Once

Press the EQ button once briefly.
Do not press and hold the button.

The speaker should leave engineering mode immediately, and the sound should return to normal.

Why This Happens

Holding the EQ button for too long can activate an internal engineering mode. This mode is not for normal listening and may make the audio sound unusual.

Something Doesn’t Look Right?

The EQ LED Is Not Red

Your sound issue may not be caused by EQ engineering mode. Press the EQ button once briefly to check the sound mode, but do not press and hold it.

The Red EQ LED Stays On

Turn the speaker off.
Turn it back on and check the EQ LED again.
Press the EQ button once briefly.
