Long-pressing the EQ button activates an internal engineering mode indicated by a solid red EQ LED and is not intended for normal listening, which is why the sound quality changes.
Quick Check
1. Applies to Harmony A1 Solo speakers (Batch T25J2)
2. Look at the EQ LED on your speaker.
3. If the light is solid red, press the EQ button once (short press).
4. The speaker should exit engineering mode immediately, and the sound should return to normal.
Most Common Reason
This usually happens when the EQ button is accidentally long-pressed, which activates a hidden engineering mode not meant for normal listening.
💡 Tip:
If you don’t see the red light:
● The issue may be unrelated to EQ mode. If pressing once doesn’t change anything:
● Try pressing the EQ button again briefly and make sure you are not long-pressing it.
Still not working?
Try these next steps:
● Turn the speaker off and back on, then check the EQ LED again.
