PowerByte – Volume Too Low?

If your PowerByte sounds too quiet, try these steps in order.

Step 1 – Turn Up the PowerByte Volume

While audio is playing, slowly increase the volume on the PowerByte and listen again.

Loud enough now?
You're done. If it is still too quiet, continue below.

Step 2 – Try Voice Clear Mode

Press the EQ button until you reach Voice Clear.

Voice Clear can make speech sound stronger and easier to hear, especially for news, talk shows, podcasts, audiobooks, and dialogue.

Good to Know: You can also try the other EQ modes. Choose whichever sounds clearest and most comfortable to you.

Step 3 – Check the Volume on Your Audio Source

If the PowerByte is receiving audio from another device, that device may have its own volume control.

Check the volume on your phone, tablet, computer, TV, or other connected audio device.

Turn up the volume on the audio source, then adjust the PowerByte volume again.

Important: If the connected device is set very low, the PowerByte may still sound quiet even when its own volume is turned up.

If you are listening directly to the PowerByte without another audio device, skip this step.

Step 4 – Try Different Audio

Try another song, station, video, program, or app.

Only one program sounds quiet?
The PowerByte is probably working normally. Some recordings, stations, or programs naturally have a lower volume.

Step 5 – Restart the PowerByte

Turn the PowerByte OFF.
Wait about 10 seconds.
Turn it back ON.
Play audio again.
Increase the volume.
Try Voice Clear again.

Step 6 – Try Another Audio Source

If possible, test the PowerByte with another station, phone, tablet, or audio device.

Volume is normal with another source?
The PowerByte is likely working normally. The original source may have a lower volume level or different audio settings.

Hearing Static or Weak FM Reception?

This is a reception problem rather than a volume problem. Follow the FM reception guide for antenna, interference, rescanning, and fine-tuning checks.
