How to Factory Reset Your Avantree Bluetooth Speaker with Radio

Having Trouble Pairing With Your Phone or Tablet?

If your speaker will not pair or reconnect correctly with a Bluetooth-enabled phone or tablet, a factory reset can clear the saved Bluetooth pairing information and give the connection a fresh start.

Before You Start

First, find your speaker model below.

Follow only the reset instructions for your model. The reset buttons are different for each speaker.

💡 Important: A factory reset will erase saved FM stations and clear the Bluetooth pairing history. You may need to set them up again after the reset.

Choose Your Speaker Model

Select your model to see the correct buttons and reset steps.

SP850
  1. Turn the SP850 ON.
  2. Press and hold MENU/OK to enter System Settings.
  3. Use ⏭ to locate Factory Reset.
  4. Press MENU/OK once.
✓ Reset complete.

The device will return to FM mode.

Soundbyte T
  1. Turn the Soundbyte T ON.
  2. Press ⚙️/OK to enter System Settings.
  3. Use SEEK>> to locate Factory Reset.
  4. Press ⚙️/OK again.
✓ Reset complete.

The device will return to FM mode and automatically search for stations. This takes about 1 minute.

Boombyte
  1. Turn the Boombyte ON.
  2. Press and hold ⚙️/OK to enter System Settings.
  3. Use SEEK> to locate Factory Reset.
  4. Press ⚙️/OK again.
✓ Reset complete.

The device will return to FM mode and automatically search for stations. This takes about 1 minute.

PowerByte
  1. Turn the PowerByte ON.
  2. Press and hold MODE and 0 together for 5 seconds.

Reset Did Not Fix the Problem?

A factory reset does not fix every type of problem. If the same issue continues:

  1. Turn the speaker OFF.
  2. Wait about 10 seconds.
  3. Turn it back ON.
  4. Set up your Bluetooth connection or FM stations again.
  5. Test the speaker.
