It depends on your hearing aid model and the type of Bluetooth technology it supports. Some models work directly, while others require LE Audio or Auracast. Many older models may not be compatible at all.
To make it easy, check the compatibility chart here.
1. Hearing aids use regular Bluetooth
If you use Phonak Marvel, Paradise, Lumity, or Unitron Discover, or Kirkland Signature 9.0+, you're in luck!
These models use classic Bluetooth and can connect directly to most Avantree transmitters like:
Audikast 3
Oasis Plus 2
Orbit Pro
DG60, C81, DG80
You can enjoy both listening and calling — no accessories needed.
2. Hearing aids that support LE Audio or Auracast
Yes! If your hearing aids support LE Audio or Auracast, you can use our newer transmitters such as:
C82 LEA (for unicast / one-to-one streaming)
C82 Aura, Voyager, or Audikast 4HA (for Auracast / broadcast mode)
Some hearing aids that support these features include:
ReSound Nexia / Savi, Beltone Serene, Starkey Edge AI
Oticon Intent, Philips Hearlink 9050, Signia IX, Jabra Enhance, and more
✅ These transmitters let you listen (and in many cases, make calls too) using low-latency, high-quality LE Audio. You might need to use your phone or PC's microphone instead of hearing aids microphone.
Some Auracast hearing aids (Starkey Edge AI) may require a Samsung or Pixel phone for pairing during setup — this only applies to broadcast pairing (not needed when pairing directly with Avantree transmitters like C82 LEA).
3. Hearing aids use MFi or ASHA
Unfortunately, if your hearing aids only support:
MFi (Made for iPhone)
ASHA (Android Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids)
Then they won’t work with Avantree transmitters directly. Please go with hearing aids manufacture's original accessories.
I’m not sure what my hearing aids support. Can you help?
