SoundJet R1 - Fix one side sound issues – Avantree Support

Only hearing sound from one side?

This is usually caused by a loose AUX connection, your earbuds reconnecting to your phone instead of the SoundJet R1, or a pairing issue. Try the fixes below in order.

Quick Fix

Check the audio connection

Make sure the SoundJet R1 is fully inserted into the audio jack.

Unplug the SoundJet R1 and reconnect it firmly.

If you're using a Dual AUX 3.5 mm adapter, make sure both plugs are securely connected.

Turn off Bluetooth on your phone

Temporarily turn your phone's Bluetooth OFF.

This prevents the earbuds from automatically reconnecting to your phone instead of the SoundJet R1.

Restart the earbuds' connection

Put both earbuds into their charging case.

Close the lid for about 3 seconds.

Reopen the case and remove both earbuds.

Reset and pair again

If one side still has no sound, reset both devices and pair them again from the beginning.

Factory reset the SoundJet R1.

Reset your earbuds according to their manufacturer's instructions.

Pair the earbuds with the SoundJet R1 again.

Using it on an airplane?

Airplane entertainment systems and some older audio devices may feel connected even when the AUX plug is slightly loose. Push the plug in firmly until you feel a solid connection so both left and right audio channels are transmitted.

Why does this happen?

Loose AUX connection The plug isn't fully seated in the audio port.

Dual-AUX adapter One of the two plugs isn't fully connected.

Phone Bluetooth The earbuds reconnect to your phone instead of the transmitter.

Pairing issue The transmitter and earbuds lose proper synchronization.

Need to reset the SoundJet R1?

Turn on the SoundJet R1, then press and hold Volume + and Volume − together for 10 seconds. After the reset, it will automatically enter pairing mode.
