NB18 – How to Pair with an Avantree Bluetooth Transmitter

To connect your NB18 to an Avantree Bluetooth transmitter, both devices must be in pairing mode at the same time.

Important: Both the NB18 and the transmitter must be in pairing mode at the same time.

Turn Bluetooth OFF on nearby phones, tablets, computers, and TVs previously connected to the NB18.
Keep the NB18 close to the transmitter.
Make sure both devices have enough power.

Flashing RED & BLUE = Pairing mode. You should also hear “Pairing.”

Simply turning the NB18 ON is not enough. Make sure the LEDs are flashing RED and BLUE.

Turn ON your Avantree transmitter and put it into Bluetooth pairing mode.

The pairing button and LED indicator are different for each transmitter model. Look for its Bluetooth pairing indicator to start flashing.

Then search Avantree Support using [Transmitter Model] + pairing mode. Example: Relay pairing mode.

Keep the NB18 and transmitter close together. Do not press any more buttons. Wait about 5–10 seconds.

NB18 solid BLUE = Connected

You should also hear “Connected.” Play audio to test the connection.

NB18 Keeps Connecting to My Phone

Turn Bluetooth OFF on the phone or other nearby device. Then put the NB18 back into flashing RED and BLUE pairing mode.

Both Devices Are in Pairing Mode but Do Not Connect

Turn Bluetooth OFF on nearby phones, tablets, computers, and TVs previously connected to the NB18.
Keep the NB18 and transmitter close together.
Put the NB18 into flashing RED and BLUE pairing mode again.
Put the transmitter into pairing mode again.
Wait 5–10 seconds.

Use the Medley Clear second-headphone guide instead. Medley Clear has a separate procedure for adding and locking a second pair of headphones.
