NB18 – How to Enter Pairing Mode or Reconnect
Use Pairing Mode for a new device. Use Reconnect when the NB18 was already paired with that device before.
Pair with a New Device
- Start with the NB18 completely OFF.
- Slide the power switch toward PAIR and keep holding it there.
- Release the switch when the LEDs flash RED and BLUE alternately.
Flashing RED & BLUE = Pairing mode. You will also hear “Pairing.”
Connect from Your Device
- Open Bluetooth settings on your phone, tablet, computer, Smart TV, or Bluetooth transmitter.
- Select Avantree NB18 if a device list appears.
- Keep the NB18 and your device close together.
- Wait for the connection to complete.
When connected, the RED and BLUE LEDs stop flashing.
Reconnect Next Time
- Turn ON the device you want to use.
- Turn ON the NB18 normally.
- Press the power button on the earbuds once to reconnect.
You do not need to enter Pairing Mode again unless the saved connection was cleared or you want to connect to a different device.
Something Doesn’t Look Right?
NB18 Keeps Flashing RED and BLUE
Flashing RED and BLUE means the NB18 is still waiting to connect.
- Turn Bluetooth OFF on nearby phones, tablets, or computers previously connected to the NB18.
- Keep the NB18 close to the Bluetooth transmitter or device.
- If pairing with a transmitter for TV use, turn the TV OFF temporarily while pairing.
- Make sure the other device is also in Bluetooth pairing mode, then try again.
