How Do I Lock My Headphones to the Audikast?
Locking lets you secure one paired headphone to the Audikast for automatic reconnection.
Before You Start
Your headphones must be connected to the Audikast first.
Solid Blue — Connected
Flashing Red and Blue — Still Pairing
Do not lock the headphones while the light is still flashing Red and Blue.
Step 1 – Connect Your Headphones First
Turn on the Audikast and your headphones.
Wait until the headphones are connected.
Only continue to Step 2 after the headphones are connected.
Headphones Not Paired to the Transmitter?
Pair your headphones first. Once connected, return here and continue to Step 2.
Step 2 – Lock Your Headphones
First, Check Your Transmitter Batch/LOT Number
The locking steps depend on your Audikast transmitter's Batch/LOT number. Check the number first, then choose the correct instructions below. Where can I find it?
Batch Number Before 25B1
Make sure your headphones are connected and the Audikast light is Solid Blue.
Press and hold the 🎧1 button for 10 seconds.
Batch Number 25B1 or Later
Make sure your headphones are connected and the Audikast light is Solid Blue.
Press and hold 🎧1 and 🎧2 at the same time for 10 seconds.
Important: Keep holding the correct button or buttons for the full 10 seconds.
Good to Know
Once locked, your headphones should reconnect to the Audikast automatically. If you connect them to another Bluetooth device, you may need to manually reconnect them to the Audikast.
Step 3 – Test the Lock
Check that the Audikast remembers your headphones.
- Turn the headphones OFF.
- Turn the Audikast OFF.
- Wait about 5 seconds.
- Turn the Audikast back ON.
- Turn the headphones back ON.
- Wait a few seconds for them to reconnect.
If the headphones reconnect automatically, the lock is working.
Still Not Reconnecting Automatically?
- Make sure the headphones are connected and the Audikast light is Solid Blue.
- Check your transmitter's Batch/LOT number again.
- Repeat the correct 10-second lock procedure.
- Turn the Audikast and headphones OFF.
- Wait about 5 seconds.
- Turn both devices back ON and wait for them to reconnect.
