HT380 – Fix Short Range, Static Noise or Audio Cuts

Follow these steps if the sound cuts in and out, has static, or stops working at a distance.

Step 1 – Test Close to the Transmitter

Bring the HT380 receiver close to the transmitter dock. Stay about 3–6 ft / 1–2 m away and play TV audio.

Sound is clear when close? The connection is working. The problem is likely distance, wireless interference, or an obstacle.

Sound still cuts out when close? Restart the HT380:

Turn OFF the receiver.
Turn OFF the transmitter dock.
Wait about 10 seconds.
Turn the transmitter dock back ON.
Turn the receiver back ON and test again.

Step 2 – Move Wireless Devices Away

Keep the HT380 transmitter about 4–5 ft / 1–1.5 m away from:

Wi-Fi routers and mesh Wi-Fi units
Bluetooth devices
TV and streaming boxes
Wireless speakers
Wireless cameras

Step 3 – Move the Transmitter

For better range, place the transmitter in an open area, away from large metal objects and the Wi-Fi router.

Avoid placing it inside a cabinet, behind the TV, on the floor, or next to a Wi-Fi router or mesh unit.

Step 4 – Check for Obstacles

Walls, furniture, metal objects, and people can weaken the wireless signal. If sound cuts out in another room, move the transmitter to a more open or central location with fewer obstacles.

Something Doesn’t Look Right?

Works Close to the Transmitter but Cuts Out Farther Away

This usually points to distance, interference, or obstacles. Move the transmitter to a more open location and away from Wi-Fi or other wireless devices.

Sound Cuts Out When I Walk Into Another Room

Walls and other solid objects can weaken the signal. Try placing the transmitter higher and in a more open location with fewer obstacles between it and the receiver.
