HT380 – How to Use Ambient / Hearing Aid Mode

Hear people and nearby sounds through the receiver’s built-in microphone.

Slide the receiver’s power switch to ON.

Solid GREEN = Connected to the transmitter

Flashing GREEN = Transmitter is OFF or not connected

You can use Ambient Mode in either case.

Press the large gray AMBIENT button once.

You will hear 2 beeps.

Solid RED = Ambient Mode ON

You can now hear nearby sounds through the receiver’s built-in microphone.

Return to normal TV listening: Press AMBIENT once again. Ambient Mode turns OFF.

Receiver Is Solid RED

Solid RED = Ambient Mode is ON. To listen to the TV normally, press AMBIENT once.

I Can Hear the Room but Not the TV

Ambient Mode may be ON. If the receiver shows Solid RED, press AMBIENT once to return to normal TV listening.

Ambient Mode Does Not Turn ON

Make sure the receiver is ON, then press AMBIENT once. Listen for 2 beeps and look for Solid RED.
