Before You Start: No sound usually means the receiver is disconnected from the transmitter, the TV is not sending audio, or the volume or TV settings need adjusting. Follow these three steps to check.
Step 1 – Check the Receiver Connection
Turn on the HT380 transmitter dock and receiver. Check the receiver’s LED.
Step 2 – Check the TV Audio Signal & Settings
Play TV audio and check the transmitter dock’s TRANSMIT / audio signal light.
Choose your TV connection type and check the matching settings.
Why PCM? For Optical connections, the transmitter needs a compatible stereo signal. Set the TV audio format to PCM / Stereo. Dolby, DTS, Bitstream, or Auto may cause no sound.
Step 3 – Check the Cable, Volume & Restart
1. Check the cable connection: Make sure the cable is securely connected from the TV to the transmitter.
- When the receiver and transmitter signal lights are solid green, turn up the volume on the HT380 receiver.
- For AUX, increase the TV volume. Make sure the TV is not muted and try another channel, video, or app.
- If there is still no sound, try a new cable of the same type.
- Turn off the transmitter dock and receiver, then turn them back on and test again.
Using a Soundbar or AV Receiver with HDMI ARC / eARC? Temporarily disconnect it from the TV and play TV audio again. The TV may be sending sound to that device instead of the HT380.
Still No Sound?
Tell us your TV model, connection type (Optical, AUX, or RCA), whether the receiver and transmitter lights are solid or flashing green, and whether you use a soundbar or AV receiver.
