HT380 – How to Fix No Sound / Not Working

Follow these steps if the HT380 is turned on but you cannot hear TV audio.

Do not reset or re-pair the HT380 yet. First check whether the receiver is connected and whether the transmitter is receiving TV audio.

Step 1 – Check the Receiver Connection

Turn ON the HT380 transmitter dock and receiver.

Solid GREEN = Connected

Flashing GREEN = Not connected

If the receiver is flashing GREEN:

Keep the receiver close to the transmitter.
Turn OFF the receiver and transmitter dock.
Wait about 10 seconds.
Turn ON the transmitter dock first, then the receiver.

Step 2 – Check for TV Audio

Play a TV channel, movie, or video with sound. Check the TRANSMIT / audio signal light on the transmitter dock.

Solid GREEN = TV audio signal received

Flashing GREEN = No TV audio signal

If the light is Solid GREEN, go to Step 4 – Check the Receiver Volume. If it is flashing GREEN, continue to Step 3.

Step 3 – Check Your TV Connection

Using Optical

Connect TV Optical / Digital Audio OUT → HT380 Optical IN. In the TV sound settings, select Optical / Digital Audio Out and set Digital Audio Format → PCM / Stereo.

Important: Dolby, DTS, Bitstream, or Auto may cause no sound. Use PCM / Stereo.

Using AUX / 3.5 mm: Connect TV Headphone / Audio OUT → HT380 AUX IN. Set the TV sound output to Headphones / Audio Out if required, then turn up the TV volume.

Using RCA Red / White: Use the TV’s AUDIO OUT ports only. Do not use AUDIO IN. If your TV has an audio-output setting, select Audio Out / External Speakers.

Step 4 – Check the Receiver Volume

When the receiver and transmitter audio signal lights are both Solid GREEN, turn up the volume on the HT380 receiver and test again.

Step 5 – Check for an HDMI ARC Conflict

If a soundbar, AV receiver, or another device is connected to the TV’s HDMI ARC / eARC port, the TV may send its audio there instead of to the HT380.

Temporarily disconnect the HDMI ARC / eARC device.
Play TV audio again.
Check whether the HT380 transmitter now shows Solid GREEN.

Something Doesn’t Look Right?

Receiver Is Flashing GREEN

The receiver is not connected to the transmitter. Keep it close to the transmitter and restart both devices. Wait for Solid GREEN = Connected before checking TV audio.

Transmitter Audio Signal Is Flashing GREEN

Optical: Select Optical / Digital Audio Out and PCM / Stereo. AUX: Select Headphones / Audio Out and turn up the TV volume. RCA: Use AUDIO OUT, not AUDIO IN.
