This update is intended for the compatible DG80 / DG80P hardware specified by Avantree, including the applicable batch-number requirement.
Confirm that your adapter is eligible before installing firmware. Do not install firmware intended for another adapter model.
Connect DG80P to Your Windows PC
Before starting, make sure you have:
- A compatible DG80P adapter.
- A Windows PC with an available USB port.
- An internet connection to download the required files.
Plug DG80P directly into an available USB port on your Windows computer.
Keep DG80P connected throughout the firmware update. Do not unplug the adapter or shut down your computer while the update is running.
Download the DG80P Firmware File
Download the DG80P firmware file to your Windows computer.
Firmware file:
DG80P_V5.06_beta3_dfu_file_Encrypted.bin DOWNLOAD FIRMWARESave the firmware file in an easy-to-find location, such as your Downloads folder. Do not rename or modify the .bin file.
Download and Install BlueSuite
BlueSuite is the Windows utility used to perform the firmware update.
Download the Windows firmware update utility.
DOWNLOAD BLUESUITE- Find the downloaded BlueSuite ZIP file.
- Extract the ZIP file.
- Open the extracted folder.
- Double-click the BlueSuite installer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation.

If Windows asks whether you want to allow the installer to make changes, verify that you opened the expected BlueSuite installer before continuing.
Open the HID DFU Application
After installing BlueSuite, open the Windows Start menu.
- Click the Windows Start button.
- Search for HidDfuApp.
- Click HidDfuApp to open the firmware update utility.

Make sure the BlueSuite ZIP file was extracted and the installation completed successfully.
Select the Firmware File and Run the Update
In the HID DFU Application, follow these instructions:
- Find the File field.
- Click Choose.
- Select the DG80P firmware .bin file downloaded in Step 2.
- Confirm that the correct firmware file appears in the application.
- Click Run to begin the update.

Wait for the update process to finish completely.
Do not unplug DG80P, close HidDfuApp, or turn off your computer while the update is running.
Confirm the Firmware Update Is Complete
When the firmware update finishes, the HID DFU Application should display a completed progress bar and a success message.

Firmware Update Complete!
If the application displays the successful completion message, the update has finished.
You can reconnect DG80P to your audio source and test the updated functionality.
If the application displays an error, do not assume the update succeeded. Contact Avantree Support if the update fails or the adapter is no longer detected.
Common Questions
Can I Update DG80P Using a Mac?
The provided firmware update procedure requires a Windows PC and the BlueSuite utility. It does not provide a macOS update method.
What If I Cannot Find HidDfuApp?
Make sure you extracted the BlueSuite ZIP file and completed the installation. Then search for HidDfuApp in the Windows Start menu.
How Do I Know the Update Was Successful?
The HID DFU Application should display a completed progress bar and a message confirming that the Upgrade Binary operation finished successfully.
What Should I Do If the Firmware Update Fails?
Check that you selected the correct firmware file and installed BlueSuite. If the update fails or the adapter stops being detected, contact Avantree Support before attempting further firmware changes.
