Connect Additional HT280 Headphones

One HT280 transmitter can send the same TV audio to multiple compatible HT280 headphones.

Check Compatibility First

The additional headphones must come from another HT280 set.

Other headphone models are not compatible with the HT280 transmitter. You can repeat the pairing process to connect up to 100 compatible HT280 headphones.

Batch compatibility: HT280 units made before June 2023 (Batch T15A1–T23E5) are not compatible with the newer headphones introduced with Batch T23F1.

Turn Off or Unplug the 2nd HT280 Transmitter

The transmitter from the second HT280 set should remain OFF. You only need its headphones.

Turn On the 1st HT280 Set

Turn on both the headphones and transmitter from the first HT280 set.

This is the transmitter that the additional headphones will join.

Turn the 1st HT280 Set Off Again

Turn off both the headphones and transmitter from the first set before putting the additional headphones into pairing mode.

Put the Additional Headphones Into Pairing Mode

On the headphones from the second HT280 set, press and hold the Power button for 5 seconds.

Earlier Batches: Flashing Yellow-GreenThe headphones are in pairing mode.

Batch T23F1 and Later: Flashing Red & GreenThe LED alternates between red and green while pairing.

Why Are the LED Colors Different?

Before T23F1Pairing is shown by a flashing yellow-green LED.

T23F1 and LaterPairing is shown by alternating red and green.

Turn On Only the 1st Transmitter

Turn on the transmitter from the first HT280 set. Keep its original headphones OFF.

The transmitter automatically enters pairing mode.

Earlier Batches: POWER Light Flashes Blue RapidlyThe transmitter is searching for the headphones.

Batch T23F1 and Later: TRANSMIT Light Flashes Green RapidlyThe transmitter is searching for the headphones.

Wait for the Connection

Keep the additional headphones near the transmitter and wait a few seconds.

Solid Yellow-Green = ConnectedThe additional headphones have joined the transmitter.

Not Connecting?

Make sure the additional headphones are already in pairing mode before turning on the first transmitter.

Also check the batch numbers. Older units from Batch T15A1–T23E5 cannot connect with the newer headphones introduced from Batch T23F1.
