Before You Start: No sound may occur if the headphones are disconnected, the TV audio settings are incorrect, or the transmitter is not receiving audio. Turn on the HT280 transmitter and headphones, then play a TV program or video with sound.
Step 1 – Check the Headphone Connection
Keep the headphones turned on and near the transmitter. Check the headphone LED.
Step 2 – Check the Audio Signal & Settings
Play TV audio and check the transmitter's signal light.
Why PCM? HT280 needs a compatible stereo audio signal. If your TV sends Dolby or another surround-sound format, you may hear no sound. Set the TV audio format to PCM / Stereo.
Choose your TV connection type and follow the matching instructions.
Step 3 – Check Connections, Volume & Restart
- Make sure the audio cable is securely connected to the TV and transmitter.
- Increase the headphone volume and make sure the TV is not muted.
- Try another TV channel or video.
- Try a NEW audio cable of the same type.
- Still no sound? Restart the transmitter, headphones, and TV, then test again.
No Sound on Certain Apps or Cable Boxes? Play the affected program and set the TV or streaming device's digital audio format to PCM / Stereo.
