Start With the Charging Dock
If your HT280 headphones are not charging, check the dock indicator, charging contacts, and batteries in this order.
Restart the Charging Dock
Turn the transmitter tower OFF, then turn it back ON.
Check the CHARGE indicator on the tower.
Check the Charging Contacts
Inspect both the headphone contacts and the charging pins on the tower for dirt, oxidation, or rust.
Clean them with a clean cloth using 75% alcohol. Wait until the contacts are completely dry, then try charging again.
View Headphone Charging Contacts
Check the three metal contacts on the headphones. The photo shows an example of a contact affected by rust.
View Tower Charging Pins
Check all three charging pins on the tower and make sure they are clean and unobstructed.
Check the Batteries
Open the battery cover. Use your fingers to gently roll the batteries back and forth to make sure they have good contact with the battery terminals.
Standard AAA batteries are not compatible with the HT280 charging system and will not charge in the headphones.

Check the CHARGE Light on the Tower
For earlier batches, the tower's CHARGE light is green while charging and turns off when fully charged. Starting from Batch T23F1, the light is red while charging and solid green when charging is complete.
Still Need Help?
If the headphones still will not charge after checking the contacts and batteries, send us a support request.
Ask a QuestionNote: It's suggested to check the charging LED on the transmitter tower/charging dock. The LED on the tower will tell you whether the headphones are charging or not. It will be GREEN if it's charging, and off if it's fully charged (Starting from Batch T23F1, it will be RED while charging, and turn solid GREEN when charging is complete). The headphones' LED will only light up if you charge them while still powered on, and only for 5 minutes.
