Avoid Bluetooth interference while pairing

Temporarily turn Bluetooth OFF on nearby TVs, phones, tablets, computers, speakers, or other devices that may have previously connected to the headphones. Otherwise, the headphones may reconnect to one of those devices instead of the HT5009 transmitter.

If your original HT5009 headphones no longer connect automatically, pair them with the transmitter again and lock the connection. The lock step is important for reliable reconnection the next time you turn them on.

Power the transmitter from a wall outlet during this fix

This helps rule out unstable or insufficient power from the TV's USB port while you reconnect the headphones.

Before pairing:
Unplug the transmitter's USB power cable from the TV and connect it to a 5V USB wall adapter. Then turn the transmitter ON.

Why did the connection stop working?

This can happen after the headphones connect to another Bluetooth device, after replacing either the headphones or transmitter, or if the original pairing connection was interrupted. The steps below create the connection again and lock the original headphones to the transmitter.

Pair & Lock the Headphones

Keep the headphones close to the transmitter while completing these steps.

Put the transmitter into pairing mode

With the transmitter powered ON, press and hold the Headphone 1 / 🎧1 pairing button until its Bluetooth indicator begins flashing.

Look for: the transmitter's pairing indicator flashing green and white.

Flashing green / white = Pairing

Put the headphones into pairing mode

Turn the headphones on, then slide and hold the power switch toward PAIR until the headphone LED begins flashing red and blue.

Release the switch once you see the red and blue flashing LED.

Flashing red / blue = Pairing

Wait for them to connect

Keep the headphones close to the transmitter and wait a few seconds.

Connection successful:
The headphones turn solid blue, and the transmitter's connection indicator becomes solid white.

Don't Skip This Step

Lock the headphones to the transmitter

Once the headphones are connected, press and hold the Headphone 1 / 🎧1 button on the transmitter for about 10 seconds.

Release the button when the Headphone 1 indicator shows green. This locks the original headphones to the transmitter.

Older HT5009 version? If your transmitter does not have a Headphone 1 / 🎧1 button, use the “+” button for the lock step instead.

Connection restored

Turn the headphones and transmitter off, then turn them back on. They should now reconnect automatically within a few seconds.

The transmitter isn't flashing green and white

The transmitter has not entered pairing mode yet.

Confirm the transmitter is powered ON.
Press and hold the Headphone 1 / 🎧1 pairing button again.
Keep holding until the Bluetooth indicator begins flashing green and white.
Once it is flashing, put the headphones into pairing mode again.

The headphone LED isn't flashing red and blue

A flashing blue light by itself usually means the headphones are powered on, but they are not yet in pairing mode.

Make sure the headphones are ON.
Slide and hold the switch toward PAIR.
Keep holding until the LED flashes red and blue.
Then release the switch.

Both are flashing, but they still won't connect

Double-check that Bluetooth is OFF on nearby phones, TVs, computers, tablets, speakers, and other devices.
Move the headphones right next to the transmitter.
Turn both the headphones and transmitter OFF.
Turn the transmitter back ON.
Put the transmitter into pairing mode again.
Put the headphones into pairing mode again.
Wait several seconds for them to connect.

Important: If the headphones automatically connect to another Bluetooth device, disconnect or forget the headphones from that device before trying again.

They connect now, but won't reconnect automatically later

The pairing may have succeeded, but the connection may not have been locked.

Pair the headphones and transmitter again.
Wait until both show a solid connected LED.
Complete Step 4: Lock the headphones to the transmitter.

Do not skip the lock step. It helps the original HT5009 headphones reconnect automatically after the system is turned off and back on.

I already tried everything above

If both devices enter the correct pairing mode but still cannot connect, clear their Bluetooth pairing history and try the pairing process again.
