Hearing aids won't connect to Audikast 4? The most common causes are incorrect transmitter mode, missing Auracast options in the hearing aid app, or outdated hearing aid firmware. Follow these steps.
Check Hearing Aid Compatibility
Not all Bluetooth hearing aids support Auracast, even if other models from the same brand do.
- Confirm your hearing aid's exact brand and model.
- Check whether it supports Auracast.
- Make sure Auracast is enabled and your hearing aid firmware is up to date.
Switch Audikast 4 to Hearing Aid Mode
Audikast 4 may be in regular Bluetooth mode instead of Auracast mode. Activate Auracast first, then select Hearing Aid Mode.

Join the Broadcast Through Your Hearing Aid App
Your hearing aids must join the Audikast 4 Auracast broadcast using the appropriate hearing aid app or supported Auracast Assistant.
- Open your hearing aid companion app on your phone.
- Find the Auracast or Join Broadcast option.
- Select the Audikast 4 broadcast and join.
- Play TV audio to confirm sound through your hearing aids.
Auracast Broadcast Not Showing?
If your hearing aid app does not show Auracast or cannot find the Audikast 4 broadcast, the hearing aid firmware or companion app may need updating.
- Confirm Audikast 4 is in Hearing Aid Mode (solid white).
- Stop phone calls or audio streaming through your hearing aids, then reopen the hearing aid app.
- Search for the Auracast broadcast again.
- If Auracast is still missing or not working, contact your audiologist to check and update your hearing aid firmware and companion app.
Important: Outdated hearing aid firmware may prevent Auracast from functioning correctly, even if your hearing aid model supports it. Your audiologist can verify whether Auracast is enabled and fully supported on your current firmware.
Connected, But No TV Sound?
If your hearing aids have joined the broadcast but you cannot hear TV audio, the issue may be related to the TV audio output settings.
- Make sure the TV is ON and playing audio.
- Check that Audikast 4 is receiving an audio signal.
- If using Optical, set your TV's Digital Audio Output to PCM.
- Adjust your hearing aid volume, if supported.
