Duet Aura - Charging Guide

Before You Start: If your Duet Aura headphones won’t charge, turn on, or hold a charge, the cause may be a loose charging connection, an unsuitable power source, or a battery issue. Follow these steps to check.

Step 1 – Check the Charging Dock

Check the charging light:

1. Connect the transmitter/charging dock to a 5V USB wall charger.
2. Place both headphones securely in their charging positions.
3. Adjust their position until the charging contacts touch and the solid red charging light appears.
4. If the light does not appear, try another USB cable, wall charger, or outlet.

Only one headphone not charging? Remove and reposition that headphone, then check its charging light again.

Step 2 – Clean the Charging Contacts

Dust or dirt on the metal contacts may prevent the headphones from charging.

1. Unplug the charging dock from power.
2. Gently wipe the metal contacts on the headphones and dock with a clean, dry, soft cloth.
3. Reconnect the dock and place the headphones back on it.
4. Check whether the solid red charging light appears.

Charging light turns on after repositioning? Leave the headphones in that position to charge.

Step 3 – Check Headphones That Won’t Turn On

1. Leave the affected headphones charging for 30–60 minutes, especially if they have not been used for a long time.
2. Remove them from the charging dock.
3. Turn the headphones ON and check whether they respond.

Still won’t turn on? The headphones may need further inspection.

Step 4 – Check Battery Life

1. Fully charge both headphones.
2. Use them under similar conditions and at approximately the same volume.
3. Check whether one headphone loses power significantly faster than the other.

One headphone drains much faster? It may need further inspection for a battery issue.
