Before You Start: No sound usually means the headphones are not connected to the transmitter, the TV is not sending a compatible audio signal, or a cable or volume setting needs attention. Follow these three steps to find and fix the problem.
Step 1 – Check the Headphone Connection
Turn on the HT4186 transmitter and headphones. The original set is pre-paired, so allow about 5–10 seconds for them to reconnect.
Not Connected? Follow the pairing and locking guide to reconnect the headphones to the transmitter.
How to Pair, Connect & Lock the Headphones →Step 2 – Check the TV Audio Signal & Settings
Play TV audio and check the transmitter’s OPT/AUX indicator.
Choose your TV connection type and check the matching settings.
Why PCM? For Optical connections, the transmitter needs a compatible stereo signal. Set the TV audio format to PCM / Stereo. Dolby, DTS, Bitstream, Auto, or Pass Through may cause no sound.
Step 3 – Check the Cable, Volume & Restart
1. Check the cable connection: Make sure the cable is securely connected from the TV to the transmitter.
- Increase the volume on the headphones. For AUX, increase the TV volume too.
- Make sure the TV is not muted. Try another channel, video, or app.
- If there is still no sound, try a new cable of the same type.
- Turn off the transmitter and headphones, then turn them back on and test again.
No Sound on Certain Apps or Cable Boxes? Set the TV or streaming device’s digital audio format to PCM / Stereo.
