HT4186 – How to Use with a Computer / Laptop
Use the HT4186 to listen to audio from your computer or laptop.
Best connection: Connect the Audikast Plus transmitter directly to your computer using the included GRAY Micro USB cable.
Step 1 – Connect the Transmitter to the Computer
Connect the included GRAY Micro USB cable from the computer USB port to the Audikast Plus Micro USB port.
Important: The cable must support data + charging. A charging-only cable will not carry audio.
Step 2 – Turn ON the HT4186
- Turn ON the Audikast Plus transmitter.
- Turn ON the NB16 headphones.
Transmitter = Solid BLUE
Headphones = Solid BLUE
Step 3 – Select Audikast Plus on Your Computer
Windows
- Click the Speaker / Sound icon on the taskbar.
- Open the list of audio output devices.
- Select Avantree Audikast Plus.
Mac
- Open System Settings.
- Select Sound.
- Under Output, select Avantree Audikast Plus.
Step 4 – Adjust the Volume
Turn up the volume on your computer, then use the + / − buttons on the NB16 headphones to adjust the listening volume.
Something Doesn’t Look Right?
Audikast Plus Does Not Appear on the Computer
Check the USB cable. It must support data + charging. If you are using another Micro USB cable, try the original GRAY USB cable.
Audikast Plus Appears but There Is No Sound
- Select Avantree Audikast Plus as the computer audio output.
- Make sure audio is playing and the computer is not muted.
- Confirm the transmitter and NB16 headphones are Solid BLUE.
Using Zoom, Teams, Skype, or Another Calling App?
For listening, select Speaker / Output → Avantree Audikast Plus. If you need to speak during a call, select your computer’s built-in microphone or another microphone as the input device.
