HT4186 – How to Add a Second Pair of Headphones

Connect a second pair of Bluetooth headphones to your HT4186.

Important: Connect the original NB16 headphones first. Keep them ON and connected while pairing the second headphones.

Step 1 – Turn OFF the TV

Turn the TV OFF before pairing. This helps prevent the TV or nearby streaming devices from interfering with Bluetooth pairing.

Step 2 – Connect the Original NB16 First

Turn ON the Audikast Plus transmitter.
Turn ON the NB16 headphones.
Wait for them to reconnect.

NB16 = Solid BLUE

Transmitter 1 / A = Solid BLUE

Do not continue until the original NB16 is connected. Leave it ON.

Step 3 – Put the Second Headphones in Pairing Mode

Put the second headphones into Bluetooth pairing mode.

Important: Simply turning the headphones ON is not enough.

For many Avantree headphones, Flashing RED & BLUE = Pairing mode. You may also hear “Pairing.”

For non-Avantree headphones, check the headphone manual for its pairing instructions.

Step 4 – Put Transmitter 2 / B in Pairing Mode

On the Audikast Plus transmitter, press and hold 2 / B until its Bluetooth indicator starts flashing.

Flashing RED & BLUE = Pairing

Step 5 – Wait for Connection

Keep the second headphones close to the transmitter and wait a few seconds.

Transmitter 2 / B = Solid BLUE

1 / A and 2 / B = Solid BLUE

Both pairs are connected. Turn the TV back ON and test the audio.

Reconnect Both Pairs Next Time

Turn ON the transmitter.
Turn ON the original NB16.
Wait for 1 / A Solid BLUE.
Turn ON the second headphones.
Wait 5–10 seconds for 2 / B Solid BLUE.

If the second headphones do not reconnect, press 2 / B once and wait another 5–10 seconds.

Want to Use Only the Second Headphones?

Turn ON the transmitter and original NB16.
Wait for the NB16 to connect.
Turn ON the second headphones and wait for them to connect.
Turn OFF the NB16.

Something Doesn’t Look Right?

Second Headphones Do Not Connect

Make sure the second headphones are in actual Bluetooth pairing mode, not simply ON. Turn Bluetooth OFF on nearby phones, tablets, or computers previously connected to the second headphones.
