No sound from TC417? Find the section for your connection mode below and follow the 3 troubleshooting steps. Both TX and RX instructions are displayed.
Check the Bluetooth Headphone Connection
A flashing pairing LED means your headphones are not connected and may still be connected to another device, such as your phone.
Set TC417 to TX mode and check its LED indicator.
Headphones connected. Continue to Step 2.
Not connected. Follow the pairing steps below.

- Make sure TC417 is set to TX.
- Press and hold the PAIR button for 2 seconds to enter pairing mode.
- Put your headphones into Bluetooth pairing mode.

- Increase your Bluetooth headphone volume.
- If using AUX, increase the TV's headphone output volume.
- Firmly reconnect both ends of the audio cable.
- Confirm TC417 remains in TX mode with a solid green LED.

Check the Wired Speaker Connection
TC417 receives Bluetooth audio and sends it through a wired output. Your speaker or sound system must be connected to the correct output port and input setting.
Connect TC417's AUX port to your speaker's AUX IN / LINE IN.
Turn on the speaker and select AUX / LINE IN as its audio source.
Connect TC417's SPDIF OUT to the speaker or soundbar's OPTICAL IN / SPDIF IN.
Select Optical on your speaker or soundbar.
If your stereo has red and white RCA inputs, use a compatible 3.5mm-to-RCA cable from TC417's AUX port to the stereo's AUDIO IN.
Select the matching input on your stereo.
Important: In RX mode, Optical must connect from TC417 SPDIF OUT to the speaker's OPTICAL IN. Do not connect your speaker to TC417's SPDIF IN port.
Check the Volume and Test the Sound
Even when TC417 shows solid blue, low volume, an incorrect speaker input, or a faulty cable may prevent sound.
- Play music or a video on your phone, tablet, or computer.
- Increase the media volume on your Bluetooth source.
- Increase the volume on your wired speaker or stereo system.
- Confirm that your speaker is set to the correct AUX / LINE IN / OPTICAL input.
- Disconnect and firmly reconnect both ends of the audio cable.
Still no sound? Try another or a NEW compatible audio cable. A damaged AUX, Optical, or RCA cable can prevent audio from reaching your wired speaker even when TC417 is connected to your phone.
