How to Factory Reset the TC417

Important: TX and RX Reset Together

The TC417's TX (Transmitter) and RX (Receiver) modes share the same factory reset process.

Resetting the TC417 in either mode will also reset the other mode.

Follow these 3 simple steps to reset your Avantree TC417 and clear its Bluetooth pairing history.

After a successful reset, TC417 will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode again.

Power On Your TC417

Turn on your Avantree TC417.

You may use either TX or RX mode. The reset works in both modes.

Locate the power button on your TC417.

If TC417 is already powered on in TX or RX mode, you can continue directly to the next step.

Press and Hold the PAIR Button

Locate the PAIR button on your TC417.

Press and hold the PAIR button for approximately 8 seconds.

Keep holding until you see the red LED flash twice.

Two red flashes indicate that the factory reset was successful.

When Should I Release the Button?

Release the PAIR button after the red LED flashes twice.

Confirm TC417 Enters Pairing Mode

After the factory reset, TC417 will automatically re-enter Bluetooth pairing mode.

The LED indicator will flash rapidly GREEN or BLUE, depending on the mode you are using.

Green LED

Blue LED

Rapidly Flashing Blue

Bluetooth pairing mode.

Your TC417 has been reset and is ready to pair with a Bluetooth device again.

What Should I Do Next?

If using TC417 in TX mode, put your Bluetooth headphones or speakers into pairing mode and reconnect them to TC417.

If using TC417 in RX mode, reconnect it from the Bluetooth settings of your phone or other audio source.
