Step 1: Make sure that the TX/RX switch is at the "RX" position.
The LED indicator should now be flashing BLUE.
Step 2: Getting the TC417 into "Bluetooth Pairing Mode."
- First-Time Use: If the TC417 is brand new, and this is your first time using it, it should automatically enter pairing mode when you turn it on. You'll see the LED indicator flashing Red & BLUE rapidly.
- Non-First-Time Use: If this is NOT the first time you've used it, simply enter it into pairing mode manually by Pressing & Holding the "PAIR" Button for 2 seconds. You'll see the LED indicator flashing Red & BLUE rapidly.
Step 3: Go to your Mobile Device's Bluetooth Menu, Search & Select "Avantree TC417."
Once connected, the LED indicator will stop flashing and become SOLID BLUE.
Step 4: Plug your wired speaker into one of the ports on the back of TC417.
You may either use Digital Optical (the one labeled "SPDIF OUT" on TC417) or 3.5mm AUX, depending on what your speaker supports.
