Harmony A1 - How to turn Ambient LED Light OFF / ON – Avantree Support

Ambient Light Control

Press and Hold the EQ Button

Press and hold the EQ button for 5 seconds to turn the ambient LED light off or on.

Hold for 5 Seconds

Light is ON → Hold EQ for 5 seconds to turn it off.

Light is OFF → Hold EQ for 5 seconds to turn it on.

Batch T26D1: LED Off by Default Is Normal

T26D1 units already have the latest firmware. No firmware update is needed. Hold the EQ button for 5 seconds whenever you want to turn the ambient light on.

What you need to do depends on your Harmony A1 batch.

Latest Firmware Installed

The ambient LED is off by default.

No firmware update or DFU is needed.

T26B1

Firmware May Vary

If the ambient LED is off by default, your unit already has the latest firmware.

If the LED is on by default and you want it to stay off, check for the latest firmware.

How to Check for a Firmware Update

Only update if needed.

If your Harmony A1 already has the latest firmware, no DFU is required.

Open the Harmony A1 firmware update page and download the Avantree Updater for Windows or macOS.
Connect Harmony A1 to your computer using a USB data cable.
Open the Avantree Updater and let it detect your Harmony A1.
If an update is available, follow the instructions in the updater to complete it.
