Harmony A2 – Factory Reset / Clear Bluetooth Pairing History

Reset the transmitter or speakers if they have trouble pairing or reconnecting by Bluetooth.

Important: The transmitter and speakers are reset separately.

This reset clears Classic Bluetooth pairing history only. It does not clear Auracast connections.

Reset the Transmitter

Connect the transmitter to power and turn it ON.
Press and hold + and – together for about 10 seconds.

Reset complete: The Phone LED flashes RED & BLUE. The transmitter’s saved Bluetooth connections are cleared and it is ready to pair again.

Reset a Harmony A2 Speaker

Make sure the Harmony A2 speaker is powered ON.
Press the Bluetooth Mode button once to switch the speaker to Classic Bluetooth mode.
Press and hold + and – together for about 5 seconds.

Reset complete: The speaker shows PINK for about 2 seconds. Its Classic Bluetooth pairing history is cleared, then it switches to Auracast Broadcasting mode.

Have more than one speaker? Reset each Harmony A2 speaker one at a time. You only need to reset speakers that are having a Bluetooth pairing or reconnecting problem.

Something Doesn’t Look Right?

Speaker Does Not Turn PINK

Make sure the speaker is ON and in Classic Bluetooth mode. Then hold + and – together for the full 5 seconds. A successful reset shows PINK for about 2 seconds.

Speaker Changes to Auracast Mode After Reset

This is normal. After the speaker shows PINK for about 2 seconds, it automatically switches to Auracast Broadcasting mode.

Trying to Fix an Auracast Connection?

This reset only clears Classic Bluetooth pairing history. It does not clear or reset Auracast connections between the Harmony A2 transmitter and speakers.
