How to Use My Avantree Transmitter With Phonak Hearing Aids?

Most Phonak hearing aids support Classic Bluetooth (A2DP), so they work well with nearly all Avantree Bluetooth transmitters and USB dongles. Here’s how to pair them:

1. Turn off Bluetooth on your phone and all previously paired devices.
   This prevents the hearing aids from auto-connecting elsewhere.

2. Place both hearing aids back in their charging case to reset the connection.

3. Put your Avantree transmitter into pairing mode.
   Press and hold the pairing button (or power switch) until the LED flashes red & blue.

4. Take the hearing aids out of the case.
   This puts them into pairing mode automatically (lasts ~3 minutes).

5. Keep the transmitter and hearing aids close together.
   Wait a few seconds — once connected, the transmitter LED should turn solid blue.

⚠️ Note: Phonak hearing aids stream audio over SBC codec, the standard Classic Bluetooth profile. This may cause a slight delay in sound when watching TV or playing games.
